Kathleen Aird
Kathleen has lived in the Southern Australian coastal town of Glenelg for 25 years, working from her home studio to produce unique [personal/universal] drawings, watercolours and etchings, combining the strong Australian coastal influences with those of her extensive Asian travels.
Kathleen graduated in 1972 from the South Australian School of Art [now the University of South Australia ] and is currently lecturing there in drawing. She was a founding member of the South Australian Print Workshop and has won numerous awards for her etchings and drawings in South Australia and Nationally.
Her two latest solo exhibitions, "Daring Bidies-Bidi Daris" [2003], and "Angels, Angkor and others" received much critical acclaim and both sold extremely well.
